Espresso is a rich, full-flavoured shot of daily global analysis from the editors of The Economist, that helps consumers get up to speed fast. It was created to help maximise understanding of the most significant business, economic, political and cultural developments globally.
I was hired in the early stages of this project to design reusable components, that could be added to a design system, and an engineering kit of parts that could accommodate every type of news story.
Today’s edition
Today’s edition is made up of two parts, a morning edition and an evening edition. The edition section gives
you a summary of everything you need to know, in an easy to read and easy to digest snapshot.
Today’s feed
Today’s feed follows more of a casual approach to consuming news. New stories are added as and when they break, in date order, and the consumer can read as much or as little information as they like.
The Economist
The Economist section gives you a preview of the full-fat Economist offering, where consumers can get a taster
of what is available, and upgrade their subscription whenever they are ready.
